Howdy, my name is Amy! I live in Houston with my husband, Taylor, and our pup, Luna. I graduated from Texas A&M in 2015, and now I work in the construction industry as an HR Manager. I can typically be found pushing weights in the gym or whipping something up in the kitchen.
My love for cooking started when I got to college, and quickly realized I couldn’t make an egg without burning it. I relied on cafeteria food, so I rarely got a serving of vegetables a day, and I constantly felt sluggish from overly-processed meals. That’s when I decided to take matters into my own hands, by changing my entire perspective on food. Through years of trial and error, I’ve turned cooking into a creative outlet that fuels and nourishes me. I love finding creative ways to use veggies and other whole foods.
Most of my dishes are high volume and low calories because they consist of primarily lean poultry or fish, veggies, and seasonings. Discovering ways to modify unhealthy favorites into nutritious dishes without compromising on taste is my jam! I hope to help and inspire anyone struggling to eat more nutritiously, maintain a healthy weight, or simply feel unsure where to start in the kitchen.
